Design & Expertise

Who is the founder of Giannotti Monaco?

Giannotti Monaco is a men's ready-to-wear brand founded in 2019 by Alexis Giannotti, a Polimoda graduate with a background in architecture and communication.

The collection explores knitwear, where lines are clean and proportions are mastered. An approach guided by a minimalist sensibility, translated into balanced and durable silhouettes, designed to stand the test of time with precision.

Where do the materials come from?

Maison Giannotti Monaco places material at the heart of its approach. It constitutes its origin, naturally guiding the design, volumes, and balances.

Fibers are precisely selected, prioritizing natural materials such as extra-fine virgin wool, organic or recycled cashmere, as well as lighter blends for temperate seasons such as European linen and silk, bringing freshness and fluidity.

Particular attention is paid to the intrinsic quality of the fibers: only long fibers are retained, chosen for their hold, their durability, and their softness. This demanding selection is made alongside master artisans, guarantors of precise savoir-faire.

Each material meets rigorous standards, supported by recognized certifications such as REACH (n°1907/2006), Masters of LINEN® or ZQRX for mulesing-free virgin merino wool, ensuring controlled quality that respects both skin and the environment.

The yarns are developed and spun in Italy, with historic spinning mills with established expertise, where technical precision is part of a constant demand for the material.

Where do you produce?

Each piece is made entirely in Italy, from prototype design to spinning, knitting, assembly, and shipping. Our workshops, on a human scale, perpetuate a know-how passed down from generation to generation, where each step is mastered with precision. We maintain a direct and constant relationship with them, in almost daily contact, and visit them regularly to ensure rigorous monitoring of each production. Each creation thus embodies an authentic approach to Made in Italy, driven by constant high standards and an artisanal heritage.

How do your knits fit?

Our knitwear items are predominantly made using seamless construction, which gives them a softer and more natural drape than a woven garment.

We recommend choosing your usual size for a fitted silhouette. For a looser fit, with more ease, one size up will be more suitable. Knitwear is distinguished by its structure: a network of loops that offers natural elasticity, without the need for synthetic fibers like elastane. This construction allows the garment to adapt to the body while maintaining comfort and shape over time.

Maintenance Tips

Hand wash in cold water with a delicate detergent (pH neutral, without aggressive enzymes).

After washing, gently press the garment in a towel to remove excess water, without twisting or rubbing. Dry flat, away from any heat source, without hanging, to preserve the structure and balance of the knitwear. Depending on the nature of the fibers, unsuitable drying can lead to gradual deformation or stretching of the knit. Avoid tumble drying. It is recommended to refer to the composition and care label inside the garment.

Always store your Giannotti Monaco knitwear folded, flat in a dry place away from sunlight.

Do you offer a custom service?

For the moment, Giannotti Monaco does not offer a bespoke service. This service is currently under development, with the aim of eventually offering a more personalized approach. However, we do offer a customization service. Please contact us for more information.
